I've been on this diet for a few weeks. How long does everyone generally stay on this diet?

You will want to follow this diet until you reach your target weight. This plan uses diet breaks, free meals, and refeeds to keep you on a schedule of when to start and stop.

Along these lines...how often should we be re-assessing and recalculating with the calculator to make sure our intake numbers are correct according to weight?

Hi Lala,

When you are scheduled to do your Full Diet Break is when you will want to re-assess your plan. For example, Category 3 is every 6-12 weeks. When you take your full diet break in this time period is when you want to assess where you are at.

You can do this diet in a lifetime. As long as it will be your lifestyle, then you can do it. I know it will be hard at first, but your body will thank you later.

It is different for each person. It depends on the actual weight and the goal mainly. But depends too on the exercises routine and genetics.

I have used this diet for three months, after that, I had to give up because I was in the hospital for some investigation, now I intend to start it again from July.

I believe the best bet is staying on it until ones desired weight is achieved no need stopping half way without achieving the aim it will be work in futility, so better to stay on as long as it will take to come through.

I agree you are supposed to stay on this diet until you achieve your target of weight-loss. My opinion is that you can stay on it quite a while because it is more of a lifestyle. I think even when you have achieved your target weight and you are maintaining you can be on it. The hardest part of weight loss is maintenance. You need to come up with a plan for this otherwise you are bound to gain all the weight back on, and all this will be a waste of time. I also think that this diet is quite healthy for you, so staying on it will be good for your body.

Been on this diet for 4 months now, I have achieved my target weight but I'm still sticking to the diet since I'm used to it and it makes me feel better, although I did modify it to allow myself eating freely once a week, but nothing too much.

I think it depends upon your desired outcome and weight. Some people would like it to be part of their lifestyle and some would like it to be a weightloss diet only. We have own preferences of what we want.

Using this plan has made me enjoy lots of improvement on the way that I look as I have come to see that my body is fresh and looks fit. This is one of the benefits of making use of the diet. There are also times that you can take breaks whilst eating things you like which is a sign that it is the right way to go.

Having a free week out of the diet is not bad at all as it is a way to get the body fed with the things that they crave for. I won't stop this diet as I have been on it for a month and a week now.

Yeah, it helps having controlled days where you get to it the food you want since it allows you to have something to look forward to to continue your diet rather than just strictly prevent yourself from eating anything else and then you eventually lose the motivation to continue your diet because of it.

I've doing this diet for months now. But not unlike the first three months that I'm really strictly following my chart. Now that I've achieved what I like, I just do maintenance for a better lifestyle.

I'm just starting out again since I failed in my last try. I hope to follow this diet for 2 months or until I lose 20 pounds and gain my ideal weight.

I really don't know, I'm still in the curiosity stage and don't know if I will try it, maybe I just need more preparation.
